How La Delizia UK was born
It had been a common occurrence for good friends Jules and Nelson to enjoy a glass or 3, but to find decent prosecco in the UK was near on impossible. Reminiscing about the fantastic glasses of prosecco they had sampled during numerous trips to Italy and after one or two glasses too many of fairly average bubbles back home in the UK; they decided to embark on a quest to rectify this and allow Brits to buy what the Italians drink. This is how La Delizia UK was born.
The foothills of Tuscany
Jules and Nelson knew that if they were going to do this, they were going to do this right. So, a lengthy search for the right brands to represent and export to the UK began. After countless research trips, dozens of tastings and yes, a few fuzzy heads, they stumbled upon the most perfect prosecco at the wedding of some friends in Tuscany. The wedding itself was a beautiful affair, but in the days that followed the guests mused more over the prosecco than the bride herself (shhhhh!). A thank you token to the guests was a bottle of the prosecco of which Jules and Nelson took home to their garden in Earls Court. Surely it wouldn't taste the same they thought, but cracked it open nonetheless. In that moment of their first sip they were transported back to the foothills of Tuscany and at that moment they knew that this prosecco stood out far above the rest. Bosco del Merlo prosecco with its smooth bubbles and refined taste captured the essence that was missing in so many other prosecco’s they had tasted which are sold in the UK.

Exploring the brand
Exploring the brand further they realized that Bosco del Merlo’s parent company Casa Paladin had an additional range of fabulous red and white wines that again brought something that they believed wines in the UK did not have. More importantly they found that their passion for bringing good quality wine and award winning prosecco to the public was matched equally with that of the Paladin family. A match made in heaven!
The Bosco del Merlo estate winery is the pride and joy of siblings Carlo, Lucia and Roberto Paladin; it was started by their grandfather in 1952 and it is the result of their continuous and evolving commitment, and an expression of their love and passion for the earth and its fruits.
Casa Paladin produce wine that is typical of the area in northern Italy; bringing together tradition, culture and courage; using the most advanced technology, fully respecting the ethical issues and environment in which they operate, in order to offer quality without compromise and maximum satisfaction for their customers and fans.
So fast-forward! A few more trips, tastings and again, fuzzy heads… La Delizia UK is the sole UK distributor for the awarding winning Casa Paladin wines and prosecco.
